General Election Leader’s Tour - Advance Team Leader
-
Nov 2019 - Dec 2019
As an Advance Team Leader, it was my job to ensure successful visits for the Party Leader to key constituencies across the UK during the General Election campaign. This included securing the first campaign visit of any Party Leader to a hospital, highlighting the challenges faced by the NHS, notably in A&E Departments. I also organised a successful roundtable with Crisis focusing on support for their cross-charity initiative calling for greater support for the homeless, and visits to local businesses in St Albans, among others. As part of this, I was responsible for scoping out and identifying suitable venues for the visit, and liaising between the Leader's team, local candidates and volunteers, and the press.
