Russell Jefford
As Product Owner for the Platform Integration Team I've worked with Chris throughout his one year intern placement with Ensono during his degree. To say we were mightily impressed with Chris would be a gross understatement. On a personal level, he immediately fitted in with the small team of very experienced engineers, working easily in an Agile environment within the Scrum framework and on a fully remote basis from day one. On a technical level, Chris picked up and mastered ANY development challenge with which he was presented. Specifically, in one year (with no previous knowledge of the languages) he's leveraged PowerShell and C# to create solutions to assist with hybrid cloud system integration projects. Along the way he's achieved Microsoft Azure Developer and DevOps Expert certifications (again with no previous cloud knowledge before he started). Whilst his recent achievements are impressive, the key skill for an engineer these days is being able to google (using what you already know) to solve any new challenge in any new technology. Chris has demonstrated this skill time and time again over the past year. He will unquestionably have a very bright future in the IT industry. It has been a pleasure working with Chris and I would highly recommend him to anyone in my network looking for a skilled, enthusiastic engineer with just the right approach.

Chris joined the Platform Integration Team at Ensono as an Intern for his University Industry Placement Year. During this time Chris demonstrated exceptional maturity and aptitude; quickly learning all technologies, processes, and ways of working - all of which were completely new to him (and remotely during a pandemic as well!). Whilst "just" an intern, Chris has worked on the same level of projects as engineers with many more years’ experience, and is viewed at an equal level in the Team. He will be greatly missed when he returns for his final year of University, and very hard to replace. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Chris to any prospective employer, you'd be very lucky to have him.
