During this role I have had the opportunity to work on lots of interesting projects and I have been responsible for the implementation, design, development and management of many of the groups SharePoint & Teams sites and an Office 365 Global Administrator, which has meant that there has also been a lot of trouble shooting and problem solving involved. There are now hundreds of SharePoint\Teams sites that are now being widely used across the group. My efforts were kindly recognised where I was given a VIP Award for the work and support that I had provided during the setting up and launch of MAG Book (The one source of truth for all company wide shared documents). In addition to this I have lead many business workshops, working groups and user groups across all 3 airports and MAG US ensuring that all Office 365 users gain an effective understanding of Office 365 and make them aware that they have support in the use and development of collaboration solutions. Either through direct contact or through support requests that they have submitted through ‘IT Self-Service’. This role has played a key part in the development of the end to end processes and policies that will bring MAG the optimum benefits from the use of the collaboration tools and ensured that effective controls are in place to protect MAG data. This role has also helped introduce enterprise governance models, best practices, policies, templates and organisational branding. I have also been a key asset in assisting the groups transition to using all things Microsoft O365 including mainly but not exclusive to, SharePoint Online, Teams, One Drive, Yammer and Power Platform (Power Bi, PowerApps, Power Automate & Power Verse) I have personally developed many of the PowerApps that are now widely used across the business and have just finished configuring the Power Platform - Centre of Excellence. Brought in to improve the current business offering and supporting the current SharePoint 2010 farms users across the group and consultations with each business unit reaching out to key stakeholders to advertise and develop the current offerings where required driving this service moving forward and have just written and submitted a strategy proposal document with timelines and resources required to migrate all of the current SharePoint 2010 farms content onto the new SharePoint Online (Office 365) tenant in the near future, including all of the heavily customised farms. I have also just developed multiple SharePoint Online (Office 365) Sites including recreating and migrating the IT Business Analysts Community site and all of its content from SharePoint 2010 and also successfully designing and developing a new site for the Pensions department as early adopters of SharePoint Online (Office 365) to have a highly secure solution for the sharing and 2 x way exchanging of highly sensitive content between the pensions department and the external organisations it is required to exchange content with. This is a very exciting and challenging role within the Financial Services, Banking industry to enable the formation of a brand new challenger bank "Williams & Glyn". Through his extensive SharePoint background was brought on board to manage and develop the SharePoint environment as part of the Operations Confirmed Readiness Team throughout the process for stand up day 1 of business. This also lead to getting heavily involved in the daily business analysis within this program and the production of daily MI to keep track of progress and highlight any risks that needed to be flagged up. This involved experience of in-depth planning, reporting and project communications on this high level project. Which required a flexible, pragmatic and proactive approach ensuring quality products and services were being provided whilst thriving on the challenges that added real business benefit. Whilst also working closely with PwC throughout each Assurance Management cycle. Consolidating PwC requirements for Assurance Artefact Gathering, Defect Management for artefacts provided to PwC on SharePoint, PMO Reporting activities involving progress tracking for Artefacts Gathering, Defects Management and Risk & Issues Monitoring for Operations, Front Office and PM&A (i.e. tracking the provision, verification and remediation of all TOMs, BOMs, Process Maps, BRDs, etc. required for W&G stand up). Was brought on board in the post of the trusts SharePoint Consultant and team lead. In this post he was responsible for managing 2 junior developers and 2 admin support staff. This has been an extremely busy period for the trust regarding all things relating to SharePoint, he has been heavily involved in dealing with lots of the trusts key stakeholders across lots of departments gathering their requirements to understand current business processes and then identify improvements where possible and re-design the current processes by implementing lots of simple where possible and complex InfoPath forms and Nintex workflows to centralise and streamline the way things had previously been done for each department. This has had a very positive impact on many projects that I have been involved in over this Period and he has received lots of positive feedback from many key stakeholders. He has also been heavily involved in the process of the installation and configuration of a new SharePoint 2013 farm for the trust and identifying all of the current data that is on the current SharePoint 2010 farm that will be required to be cleansed and migrated to the new farm which is now in place. I have also been asked to scope out and plan for a new extranet environment on the new SharePoint 2013 farm that will be configured to use both forms based authentication and active directory authentication to enable external parties to have access to new extranet without having the need for a local active directory account to authenticate with as he has already explained that he has previous experience of delivering this type of project on a SharePoint 2013 platform. Some of the key projects I have already delivered on include but are not exclusive to a trust wide Central Action Tracker System and a trust wide Contracts Register that maintains each contract the trust has through its full lifecycle for both Income and Expenditure contracts. Was brought on board after the Company had just rebranded with the original requirement to develop the companies new Intranet, consult on requirements with the companies Managing Director to build him a Business Intelligence KPI dashboard to help him monitor business performance and improve business strategy where needed. After completing these pieces of work I was then also asked to conduct some companywide business needs analysis with key stakeholders throughout the business to develop a new documents management system taking all of the shared companywide documentation off shared drives. During this process I also identified where many current business processes could be improved dramatically and implemented many InfoPath 2010 forms with complex SharePoint Designer 2010 workflows to automate a lot of these business processes to stop duplication within the business and also to make search results navigation and find ability much easier for users as the old one was found to be difficult to navigate to find anything and update. I also set up a securely accessed SharePoint site that can be used externally by companies that wish to submit tenders for work as part of the company’s new bidding process. Show less

Due to new government initiatives and the restructuring of the NHS. Commissioning Support Units were formed across the UK in April 2013 to provide services to the newly formed NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) which are groups of NHS organisation previously known as Primary Care Trusts (PCT’s). The SharePoint 2010 environment that he had managed in his previous role was the only one being widely used across Lancashire’s PCT’s and he was asked to move across to the newly formed CSU to continue to manage and develop as necessary as this is the SharePoint 2010 environment that would now be used and inherited by the newly formed CSU. He has been consulting on and then developing this environment to accommodate the new CSU structure and that of its customers and supporting SharePoint users since the CSU’s formation in April. He was brought on board to Implement, administrate and develop the new SharePoint Server 2010 environment, once the local IT infrastructure was in place. To aid in the transition of 5 separate Primary Care Trusts within Lancashire in using one shared SharePoint 2010 Server Farm. Giving them an instant collaborative environment to enable each area of business to share information securely with much improved communication irrespective of each current PCT’s individual geographical location. With a priority for Site Creation and Development to required specifications, Setting up of Security Groups, Forms Based Authentication & Anonymous access where required and then developing and delivering the user training for each of the identified Site Content Leads. This piece of work grew constantly and he has already conducted a lot of information gathering exercises with key stakeholders in multiple areas of business and many of the initial sites have been created and are now being widely used, Content Leads have been identified and trained, security groups set up and various Business Intelligence Sites are already working in the SharePoint environment using various web parts returning real time reporting scorecards and dashboards. Further developments were constantly on-going during this period. Show less

      • Sep 2009 - Aug 2011

He was brought on board to administrate and develop the trusts newly installed MOSS 2007 Server Farm. With a priority for Site Creation, Setting up of Security Groups and proving the concept that Business Data Catalogue connections (BDC’s) can be made with SQL 2005 databases and displayed within SharePoint using various web part’s as reporting dashboards. This was initially to justify the business case for future funding for development of the trusts MOSS 2007 Server Farm. As this was very quickly successful further funding was then approved and lots of information gathering exercises were then conducted across the business with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize site creation & development, security groups set up, Content Lead and user training, data migration and go live dates for each site. This then lead to then on-going developments and support for all users at all levels across the entire business including GP Practices. Show less

He was brought on board to Re-Design and Develop a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 solution for the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. To provide a Central Document Management System that could be shared throughout the Trust and also replace the Trusts current Intranet. Due to another company’s installation and development of SharePoint 2007 not yielding the desired results. He was responsible for re-designing and recreating the entire solution from scratch. After consultation with the key stakeholders, designed and developed the full Intranet solution to include 20+ NHS Services or Departments which spanned over multiple geographical locations throughout Lincolnshire using new Web Applications and site collections. Also implemented a strict hierarchy using Master Pages and created the sub site templates. Created various sites and imported all users from Active Directory. Created all security groups for the installation and added all users appropriately. He then implemented audience targeting on the document libraries that were created to ensure the system was fully secured. During this role he also met with Service or Department heads individually to gather requirements and give advice on ways to improve users experience and efficiency within their Service or Department. He would then develop that Service or Departments sites to individual specifications, Including Pages that could be seen Trust Wide and Internal Pages that could only be seen by members of or invited members of that Service or Department. A typical example of things included within these pages would be, A Site Map button in the quick launch on every page within the site for ease of navigation throughout the site, Document Libraries, Announcements, Shared Calendars, Team Discussions, Web Parts, RSS feeds and links to resources that improved performance and gave a good Return on Investment.
