Mobile Food Pantry Intern
-
May 2016 - Aug 2016
As a mobile food pantry intern, I organized 25 food pantries throughout the summer. I was responsible for contacting the Cleveland Food Bank to verify delivery of the produce, organizing the volunteers for the day, designating a certain amount of food for them to bag for clients, and checking in clients through our computer system. I also worked in outreach to contact other organizations to coordinate allocating excess food in the community. Additionally, I spent time in the office filing paperwork, inputting paper documents into the computer system and finding ways to increase our program's outreach in the community.
