Senior Account Executive
-
Oct 2010 - Jul 2012
I was a Senior Account Executive at Mischief PR for a year and a half working on the QVC beauty, QVC Home, Sure, Lynx and Chevrolet teams. During my time at the agency I also worked on several projects including the launch of the new Playboy Club London, Vauxhall Fashion Scout and raising profile awareness for US chef Judy Joo. My biggest account was QVC and I worked closely with their in house marketing department to manage new product launches and coordinate events. All our press coverage and activity was designed to maximise awareness of key brands on the channel and to change perceptions of the company. At Mischief PR my main responsibilities included: • Communicating with consumer media and constantly building new media contacts • Auditing media for potential coverage opportunities • Securing coverage in relevant titles and ensuring coverage targets are hit each month • Pitching and securing brand features and profile opportunities • Attending weekly press appointments to develop relationships with new and existing media • Sending samples, images and brand quotes to press • Selling back coverage to clients daily • Organising sample shoots and suggesting image shots for press purposes • Writing reactive and proactive press releases • Monitoring fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends for potential media alerts • Managing small and large scale media events as well as seasonal press days • Working closely with brand buyers to identify key product launches and stories for press • Ensuring all administration tasks are completed • Preparing and implementing campaigns for each account

Account Executive
-
Aug 2009 - Sep 2010
Worked at luxury PR agency Neville McCarthy Associates as an Account Executive looking after Clive Christian Parfum, Pond's, BRUT, Melvita and the Spa at the InterContinental London Park Lane Hotel. Melvita was a big challenge as this was a new organic beauty brand we launched in the UK. Our task was to communicate the brand messaging to influential beauty journalists and achieve widespread coverage across all consumer media outlets. We generated online conversations amongst trusted bloggers by leaking information to them and sending cryptic e-cards. We worked closely with Melvita’s marketing team to develop their social media pages and helped them to grow their fan base through competitions and creative posts. We gained celebrity ambassadors for Melvita by identifying those who had an interest in organic products and gifting them.
