I thrive in this role as it requires working in a team to ensure that all events at the stadium are safe and comfortable environment for everyone, and good memories are made. As an Events Management student, I love this role as although I play a very small part, it enables me to be part of some iconic events. This role gives me the opportunity to work as part of the hospitality team at a wide variety of venues such as Wimbledon, Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Newmarket and The O2. This role has been very beneficial to me and my Events Management degree as although I only play a very small role in each event, it gives me to opportunity to experience many events that I otherwise would not get the chance to. Family Liaison Officer

Jul 2021 - Jul 2022
This role consists of being positioned inside the Stadium to greet guests as they arrive before escorting them down to the Players’ Lounge and up to their seats. Then being on hand to help, offering a friendly-face, accurate information and support to all Players’ Lounge guests who attend the games. I thoroughly enjoy this role and look forward to every match day. Since securing this role, it has made me look further into the the player care industry, which is now definitely something that I would be interested in doing in the future. The experience that I have gained, working with high-profile guests for a Premier League club will definitely help me in future job applications and interviews.

Social Media and Marketing Intern

Apr 2022 - Jun 2022
This internship has given me a great insight into the workings of a sporting organisation from a different perspective than events. Instead, I have been exploring the Social Media and Marketing world. During my time with London Youth Games, I have been responsible for developing new ideas and creative approaches for London Youth Games’ social communities and creating compelling digital content across social media platforms to engage new and existing audiences in order to reach the ultimate goal for LYG, of which is to make sport as inclusive and accessible for everyone as possible.

COVID-19 Multiskilled Operative
-
Jun 2021 - Sep 2021
During the summer after my 1st year at UCFB, I worked as a COVID-19 Multiskilled Operative. This role consisted of many things such as preparing test kits, talking people through tests, checking people in and out and cleaning. I really enjoyed this experience as although I do not want to go into the medical field in the future, it gave me an insight into how demanding the industry really is. Something that I will take away from this experience is to remember that you will never know when your random skills will come in useful. One day I had to conduct a test in Spanish, as a customer could not speak English. Without my Spanish A-Level, this customer would have really struggled to complete the test due to the language barrier.

During my time at Sainsbury's, I was able to work and gain experience in many different roles from working in the café, working on checkouts, stocking shelves and working in the bakery. I thrived in this job as I loved how different and unpredictable each shift could be. The wide range of roles that I was able to gain experience in really helped me to improve on my adaptability, alongside my communication and customer service skills.
