Personal Loan Underwriter 24th May 2021 – Present Duties: • Assessing a member’s income, affordability & previous credit history to establish a final decision on their loan. • Investigating credit history & worthiness through examining the Members Central Credit Register checks. • Verifying a member’s income & current employment. Paying particular attention to first time borrowers or members who may have started new employment. I have completed all necessary examinations required for this role within Credit Union Plus, however I am always willing to learn, and I am hoping to continue to further my education by completing my full QFA. Member Service Representative 04th January 2019 - 23rd May 2021 Counter Duties: General Teller operations – Transactions such as cash/cheque/EFT payments • Setting up accounts for new members & updating existing accounts following AML/CTF legal requirements • Taking Loan applications for members, going through the amount the member wishes to apply for running credit checks, requesting the necessary documents for the Underwriting Team • Preparing & signing all necessary paperwork for paying out an approved loan to a member • Admin work, writing up letters for members, answering emails, working with excel etc. Strongroom: Duties: • Managing cash flow in and out of the safes throughout the working day ensuring staff have sufficient access to cash • Cash Counting – GSLS deliveries must be double checked • Ensuring all cheques from the previous day are correct & scanned to our system prior to sending to the bank • Responsible for ensuring all staff have ended their cash sessions correctly and all safes are balanced for the next working day Show less
