I worked with Chloe on the Gender Team at KIT Royal Tropical Institute for a period of 6 months. Chloe is a quick learner who is not afraid of taking on new duties and responsibilities. A team player, who is very capable of working on difficult tasks with a high level of independence. And such a joy to work with too! Reliable, warm and funny. I worked with Chloe directly on Module 1 of the UN Women and KIT ‘Professional Development Programme for Gender Trainers’. Chloe joined the team as a Technical Assistant and later took on a range of tasks to cover for sudden staff absences. Chloe co-hosted plenaries and tutorials, managed the Zoom sessions and helped with general planning and evaluation of the module. We were grateful for Chloe’s voluntary contribution to the project, which she took on, in addition to her internship.

Chloe was an excellent student. Chloe is dedicated and ambitious. Over the three years I have taught Chloe at university, I have seen how she has developed as a researcher and a person. Chloe is hard working, diligent and engaged in everything she starts. I am confident that Chloe will be an excellent addition to any research team.

Between August and October, I worked with Community Centred Conservation Philippines (C3PH) across the islands of Busuanga. This was part of a co-designed research process with C3PH and the Tagbanua Indigenous community of Calawit. The research project is part of my current Masters Thesis on Indigenous Women-Led Climate Change Adaptation. 80 hour placement carrying out a research project with the Schumacher Institute. Largely comprising of self study and research but also involving regular meetings and training sessions, as well as attendance of events such as the UN75 Global Governance Forum. Research carried out during the course of the placement is a true reflection of work ethic and commitment to study throughout the difficult circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. 80 hour placement carrying out a research project with the Schumacher Institute.
