Product & Marketing Manager

Sep 2019 - Present
• I manage a team of three in the day-to-day running of the flash sale department which consist of three accounts, this requires me to be highly motivated and ensure that the team can thrive in all environments. More recently, the travel industry has been hit hard by covid-19 and it has been even more paramount to support my team in every way possible.• I’ve trained new employees to become well-rounded product and marketing executives, both for my team and other departments within the business.• I am responsible for setting daily, weekly, and monthly targets for my team, ensuring they are both ambitious and achievable to meet.• Since the covid-19 pandemic I had to take initiative and begin new projects as well as maintain any existing ones for example, changing the current sales focus from International Travel to UK Stay cations to fit the current market trends and creating new sales strategies for the International Travel market for example “Work cations” where you have the flexibility to work abroad from the comfort of your ideal beach destination.• I have been able to create and maintain strong relationships with the flash sale accounts we work with which in turn meant our deals get better placement on their website and newsletters and we were given extra deal slots which lead to an increase in sales, revenue, and profit.• I also cover all the key responsibilities for a Product & Marketing Supervisor, detailed below

Product & Marketing Supervisor

Sep 2014 - Sep 2019
• I was responsible for the management of two major accounts within the flash sale department, making sure they were progressing at the rate required by Jetline Travel and the external companies themselves.• I was also responsible for sourcing offers for the flash sale department via our contracting team and suppliers at exclusive rates. Also, the margin, how to market the product online and any communications with the accounts.• I was responsible for negotiating with various accounts, carefully managing the relationships to ensure we are getting priority for offer placements and are kept fully up to date on their requirements. It was also important to keep abreast of competitor activity for the relevant accounts so we could make sure we are finding the best deals available through our networks to beat our competitors.• I focused on continuously sourcing different destinations and products to ensure we maximize every opportunity to feature our offers online. This helped increase overall revenue, profit, and the accounts themselves. • Whilst I was managing these accounts passenger numbers, revenue & gross profit increased year on year.• I was responsible for the supervision for three product and marketing executives, who reported to me and my manager directly. I assisted them in the prioritization of tasks to ensure work for the accounts were completed on time – we work to very tight, frequent deadlines so this is paramount. I also gave them the support and encouragement; they needed to progress and grow into their roles and eventually manage an account themselves.
