I was recommended to apply for a sales associate position at the Juliette Gordon Birthplace by my high school counselor. At JGL Birthplace, I worked in the gift shop, assisted tours, and helped set up programs. Through this job, I developed a deeper understanding of the financial side of businesses by working the cash register, opening and closing the store, and counting the daily deposits. I improved my time management and organizational skills by making sure the shop is stocked up, setting up programs, and making sure all tours begin on time. I continued to work there after returning home from my first year of college. Show less

At the end of the program, I was asked to be a part of the team there at the Davenport House museum. I worked as a tour guide along with many other community members.
