I am honored to offer a recommendation for Chirathma Kodikara for future employment. My opinions are based on extensive experience in management of departments and personnel at a large tertiary care medical hospital. I was the Hospital Medical Director of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (2013-2019) when I met Ms. Kodikara in 2015. She assisted our team as a volunteer with honoring physicians on Doctor's Day. She immediately stood out with her exceptional people skills. She was highly effective at engaging busy, pre-occupied physicians as they entered the hospital and graciously thanking them for their work. She was an all-star, and much appreciated by the physicians she encountered. I immediately recruited Ms. Kodikara to our Medical Staff Office Staff (MSO) by developing a student intern position. The MSO staff was overworked, frustrated and in the midst of changing over to computerized medical staff credentialing (with a medical staff of over 1000). Ms. Kodikara proved to be highly intelligent, a quick learner, had strong computer skills, and was a self starter. She brought a positive, can-do attitude with a smile that was infectious, and she was the ultimate colleague whose focus was on the department's teamwork. Chirathma far exceeded our expectations for the work she could do. As a student intern, she took on many department duties, and even took on some complex bookkeeping duties that were usually done only by senior staff (and was exceptionally efficient at it). Her dedication, integrity, quality of work, and dependability were ever-present. She set the bar high and raised the team spirit of the whole department. She was appreciated by everyone, and it was very frustrating that staffing limitations prevented us from keeping her with us when her internship had to end. This proved to be Apple's Gain. I recently volunteered at a COVID vaccination clinic and ran into a past physician colleague who was working at the Apple health clinics. I asked if she had ever met Chirathma Kodikara working at Apple. My past colleague broke into a BIG smile, and said YES! She then spent several minutes raving about Chirathma for all the reasons I have given. She informed me that Chirathma had quickly risen to a supervisor position and was exceptional at it. She also noted Chirathma's wonderful people skills and ability to facilitate consensus as a supervisor. She very much appreciated working with her. Chirathma Kodikara has my highest recommendation as an employee, colleague, supervisor, or manager. Her intelligence, industrious work, and exceptional people skills will be much appreciated by any organization lucky enough to hire her.

Chirathma is a strength to every team she has been apart of. She is someone who leads with grace and intellect. Having worked with Chirathma in various clinical projects and site launches, her ability to problem solve and pinpoint discrepancies are phenomenal. She is not only able to manage a team of 15+ and mentor them in their professional and personal growth, but she is able to manage one of the most demanding clinics here at Apple. Chirathma’s warm personality, passion for excellent patient experience, and kindness to the entire team is something I truly admire. With that said, I would highly recommend Chirathma.
