Consulting with Pepeta Zambia as Country Coordinator. In this role, I am tasked with: Coordination of Pepeta Activities • Manage In-country, regional as well as international donor funded projects. • Coordination and implementation of in-country Pepeta activities and meetings Movement Building and Advocacy • Work with other initiatives within Pepeta and collaborate with key women’s rights organizations and activists to advocate for the active engagement of young feminists. • Identify relevant organizations, activists, networks and other resources through which to establish strategic partnerships in order to support young feminist activists. • Maintain communications with constituents, including past participants in programme activities, organizational partners, and Pepeta membership. • Represent Pepeta Africa in international (or local/regional) international venues to profile the platform, creating and delivering presentations or speeches as required. • Actively contribute in Pepeta advocacy work, awareness raising on issues around sexual reproductive health and rights by representing Pepeta in national forums. Capacity Building • Coordinate the development, facilitation and implementation of learning opportunities (both national and regional processes) for and by young feminists. • Develop and implement follow-up activities, as appropriate, to capacity-building processes. Administration • Leading in logistical planning for national meetings and activities as well as supporting regional work. • Work with the Finance team to administer and monitor programme budget. Documentation • Overseer/ curate articles on different activities for the Pepeta website and social media pages. • Compile update reports on activities highlighting any challenges and support needs if there are any and developing articles for the Pepeta website and social media sites. Worked at PATH under the Global Health Corps Fellowship Program Malaria Program Officer under the Surveillance department on the Malaria Elimination Partnership in Africa (MACEPA). In this role I was tasked with: • Monitoring progress on Malaria prevalence in Zambia and noting hot spots as well as areas reporting low incidences of Malaria • Conducting Phone call follow-ups with specific districts on a weekly basis in order to improve reporting rates • Analyzing data for decision making • Submitting weekly as well as monthly reports on activities and progress made in the reporting period • Conducting training of Community Health Workers and health facility as well as district staff in Malaria detection, case management and treatment in partnership with Ministry of Health through the National Malaria Elimination Centre. • Training Curriculum/material development • Phone and laptop configuration as well as troubleshooting for use of DHIS2 for Malaria Reporting purposes • Data entry and tracking using DHIS2 Show less
