- Built an experimental cold atom-dilution fridge setup for future study of interaction between atoms and superconducting qubits. - Assembled, aligned and integrated optomechanical and laser systems: diode lasers, AOMs, photodiodes, etc. - Methodically analyzed and improved analog PI locking for precise laser frequency control. Effectively learned and developed a general purpose digital PI lock with Labview FPGA (MyRIO). - Systematically debugged optical, electronic or microwave setups with use of oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, VNA, power meter, optical wavemeter, etc. - Reliably developed CCD camera control and automated image labeling for atomic cloud imaging with Labview. Developed GUI for image processing with MATLAB. - Independently designed and implemented programmable synchronous analog/digital outputs interface with DAQ devices with Labview. - Cleaned, arranged or numerically transformed data with Python (Pandas) or MATLAB. Fitted data with suitable numerical functions. - Performed numerical transformation on simulated magnetic field, involving numerical integration, differentiation, polynomial curve fitting etc. - Resourcefully prototyped various analog electronics for experiment in Altium/ Eagle: buffer circuits, differential amplifiers, MOSFET electronics, etc. - Integrated and optimized RF electronics like Low-Pass Filters, RF amplifiers, bias-tee, mixers, etc. to experiment.
