We booked China for an online team-connection event in December 2020 and she was brilliant. She made everyone feel instantly at ease, she created a great rapport with everyone and made the drawing workshop a really enjoyable experience. Thank you so much China you clearly have expert skills with pencils and people! If you're looking for a 'non-cringe' zoom get-together for your team I'd highly recommend Artistand!

The BBC craft fair was a local community activity, showcasing the best and most interesting local talents in hand made crafts, jewellery and vintage sales. The role included: • Co-ordinating with stall holders, the venue and the local community. • Marketing & advertising under a very small budget. • Handeling requests, queries and payments. • Managing the spaces and stalls for appropriate products sold. • Engaging in social media, networking and local advertising to maximise customers and sellers.

Being assistant manager promoted a challenging and enjoyable environment. As the dining experience was an open table service, it allowed all waiters to be a part of the customers experience and judging by the connections made between them and the staff, there was leeway to adapt the communication allowance. This challenged the staff to be at their best constantly and work to their fullest potential. Duties included : • Organising the daily diary for bookings, events and staffing. • Writing the weekly roter. • Engaging in comments queries, problems and quarms in regards to both food and service. • Communicating effectively between staff, kitchen and customers. • Ensuring a high level of service was above and beyond the call of duty. • Motivating and listening to staffs problems. • Ensuring all events were catered to appropriately.

Invigilating, being the first point of contact for information, solving problems, answering directions. The role involves regular training sessions on each exhibition to ensure viewers are kept informed correctly on the shows. Often, the exhibitions require an admission fee so one must ensure correct protocol and fairness towards paying customers. As an internship, this role required more than the basic office duties. My role involved responsibility for: curating exhibitions, maintain marketing and publicity such as press release and social media updates, creating and implementing monthly exhibits, organise and run evening events such as performance art and music nights. Other duties included raising money via various events, negotiating between other companies with venue hire and event planning. Delegate jobs appropriately for volunteers depending on experience as well as hiring and attracting new people, and leading small teams on large scale projects such as 'The Affordable Art Show' and 'Evenings of Spoken Word.'
