  Started with the Department in January of 1992 as a security officer, was elevated to a police officer trainee and than went to the Baltimore city Police Academy in 1995 and Grauduated in 1996 to a Police Officer II, also attended BCC Comunity College while in the Academy. Was in patrol until 1998 and than was elevated to Police Officer Supervisor (Sergeant), in 2008 was elevated to Deputy Chief (Captain), and than in 2013 became the Chief of Police after the former Chief retire. Chief Larry Summerville retired in November 2018.
