      I joined the staff daily on rounds in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I was exposed to management of the extreme preterm infant, growth restriction, hypoglycaemia, possible sepsis, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and many other cases. I had the opportunity to debrief after rounds and discuss patient management. In addition to the observership, I helped to pilot forms for a Vermont Oxford Network audit on transfusion practice and to beta test data collection.
