My PhD project is about investigating how greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from shallow lakes vary under different climate settings and nutrient concentrations, with a special focus on methane (CH4). Currently, I am trying to understand patterns of CH4 production and consumption in response to warming and enrichment and identify the microbial communities behind them in different habitats of shallow lakes. Employee for INCOVER project at the Department of Biology in order to develop more in detail the master thesis project based on finding new possible solutions to recover Phosphorus from wastewater treatments

    • Erasmus Traineeship Student
      • Jan 2019 - Jun 2019

The aim of the project was to understand if we can reuse Phosphorus, that have been recovered from wastewater by material sorption, as a P source for plants, creating a more closed nutrient cycle. For this aim, 60 Zea mays plants have been growing in a growth chamber and physical and physiological parameters, such as photosynthesis, plants respiration, stomal conductance, have been checked in order to relate the different amounts of P with the plants performances
