  Field officer: verification of the social, economic, and political reincorporation process of excombatants in the departments of Arauca and Nariño according to the 2016 Peace Agreements, through a continuous analysis of the context; meeting and strengthening the relationship with Colombian institutions, FARC members, private enterprises and international organisations to ensure the creation of opportunities and conditions for a successful reincorporation; writing daily, monthly and thematic reports to the HQ in Bogotá, highlighting the processes and tendencies that could affect the reincorporation process, identified during the continuous exercise of context analysis. Gender and childhood focal point: reviewing and improving the verification strategy of the team for the departments of Arauca and Nariño, mainstreaming a gender and childhood sensitive approach; meeting with Colombian institutions and cooperation actors with a specific mandate on gender and childhood issues to tackle regional reincorporation problems for women, LGBTQ+ population and children. Team leader: supervision of a team of four; definition of weekly and monthly plans in terms of movements across the department and of verification goals; review of reports of analysis issued as a team. Achievements: Throughout my work in Arauca and Pasto, I was able to gain the trust of State actors, FARC members and civil society, creating and implementing a strategy for the departments that brought to the approval of 4 projects funded to excombatants’ associations by the State agency for reincorporation, at least 15 multisectoral and interinstitutional missions to rural reincorporation areas and to a variety of training and education opportunities for former combatants and civil society in rural areas.
