• Reporting to the National Coordinator for NCDs, I am responsible for the development and review of annual programme work plans scored against measurable objectives.• Facilitate the conduct of the National Non-communicable Diseases STEPwise survey in Nigeria. • Work with the core technical team throughout the process of developing, achieving stakeholder consensus and launching of the first National Multi-sectoral Action Plan for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NMSAP 2019 - 2025).• Lead the NCDs M&E team in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for all NCDs interventions as well as provide support to other programme officers in designing new interventions targeted at halting the rise in risk factors for NCDs and providing standard management for non-communicable diseases across all levels of health care facilities in Nigeria.• Facilitate the pilot of the WHO Package of Essential Non-Communicable Diseases (WHOPEN) in selected primary health care facilities within the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.• Support the development of grant proposals to pilot and scale up critical NCDs interventions in Nigeria.

• Through advocacy and active negotiations with the National Population Commission and survey implementation committee, was able to achieve the inclusion of sickle cell disease indicators in the 2018 Nigeria Demographic Health Survey (NDHS). This is the first time sickle cell disease has been included in any DHS globally. • Supported the development of the National Tobacco Strategic Plan of Action for Nigeria.• Actively participated in the 2017/2018 review of the national monitoring and evaluation plan and health management Information system of the Federal Ministry of Health.• Actively participated in the development of the National Indicator Dictionary of the Federal Ministry of Health.• Actively supported the process in the development of the survey protocol, data collection tools and budget for the national NCDs STEPwise survey as well as secured ethical approval.• Facilitated the stakeholder’s consensus meeting and compiled the country-level data for the 2014 WHO Global Status Report on Violence Prevention.
