  -uniQure is a gene therapy company focusing on developing AAV-based therapy for patients suffering from hemophilia A/B, Huntington’s disease, and the rare metabolic syndrome Fabry disease. -Contributed in the R&D in the pre-clinical phase of the Fabry project (AMT-190), for establishment of 2 biochemical assays which are required for assessing efficacy and bio-distribution of the translated products, increase in time-efficiency and associated success of one of the products in the company’s pipeline. -Designed a chemical-probe-based fluorescent SDS-PAGE assay to investigate the bio-distribution of enzyme products from 6 adeno-associated virus vectors. -Troubleshot problems with enzymatic assays, resulting in better understanding of the detection range and matrix effect, which was important for interpreting the available pre-clinical data.
