As a forestry technician at South Nation Conservation Authority I have been awarded exponential opportunities to expand my forestry experience, knowledge as well as the opportunities to grow as a technician through both personal and professional development. As project lead for the tree planting and woodlot advisory service programs I regularly work with both private and public stakeholders across Eastern Ontario to provide guidance and expertise for tree planting projects and provide recommendations to help achieve their goals through proper woodlot management. I am currently a Provisional Member of the Ontario Professional Foresters Association working towards acquiring associate membership status.

A summer student position with hydro Ottawa allowed me to grow professionally and gain knowledge in the urban forestry sector of forest management. Instrumental in completing Phase I and Phase II of vegetation management surveys across the jurisdiction which will better help predict future work and identify problem areas.
