Duties include: • Prepare the technical content of fixed price bids, budgetary bids and studies including clarification to technical tenders. • Advise the Projects Team and Production Department after order placement to ensure that final build is as was bid during the tendering phase. • Ensure that each of the technical areas of the project communicate appropriately to ensure the timely execution of the project. • Ensure that changes requested in the later stages of a project are properly reviewed, controlled and implemented into the final build. • Review technical requirements of tender enquiries and propose optimum technical and cost effective solution to suit. • Prepare technical offers for inclusion within bids. • Prepare responses to bid clarifications from clients. • Attend meetings with various parties within a project, responding to technical queries and offering technical advice on optimum solutions. • Represent the company with both clients and suppliers. • Prepare manufacturing specifications for cables and umbilicals. • Carry out design calculations on individual termination parts and complete assemblies in order to optimise the final design. • Prepare individual termination part drawings and generally assembly drawings on AutoCad and Solidworks. • Review internal, supplier and client drawings prior to approval. • Prepare, review and approve Qualification Test and Factory Acceptance Test procedures. • Provide training for junior team members both on the job and through tailored training presentations. • Assist factory technicians with installation of umbilical termination assemblies.
