Mortgage Adviser
-
Jan 2014 - Feb 2016
An internal opportunity successfully obtained. This role was 2 grades above my previous at RBS equalling a managerial level. Firstly I was required me to complete a CeMAP qualification, which is essential, from a legal standing, for a person to offer mortgage advice. After a 2 week intensive course, the responsibility lay upon me to book and pass the 3 necessary exams to become qualified. This was completed in the following 3 weeks.A further 3 months of intensive internal training followed, including in-house courses and exams, monitored mock sessions, and monitored live sessions, which were all successfully and compliantly completed to earn me the title of ‘Competent Adviser’, before I could practice giving advice independently.Being a mortgage adviser I was fully in control of my day to day schedule, from provided leads to diary management, booking in slots for training, meeting, lunches and most importantly, customer appointments. This role has opened my eyes to the financial sector regarding interest rates, risks management, pensions, insurance, investments etc. Show less

This role has made me familiar with the essentials of the banking industry. Helping customers has directly influenced my own finances and has made me smarter with money. I was quickly chosen to help colleges who were struggling with targets after I demonstrated a combination of great customer service, strong ethical sales and a deep understanding of the usage of our system and processes.

Sales Consultant
-
Jul 2010 - May 2011
I attended and completed the ‘Phones 4u’ sales academy with flying colours, where I learnt the sales model which the company prides itself on. This included processes, compliance, and the psychological aspects involved in, approaching, interacting, rapport building and closing deals. After a successful start within my store I developed what I had learnt and put it into practice in a lucrative fashion. This led me to gain the promotional status ‘Media Manager’ well within my 16 week trial period. My new duties involved presentations during briefs, supporting other consultants. Show less
