Currently, I handle all the administrative duties within the MTEC SmartZone office and for our CEO and multiple consultants.Additionally, I am responsible for the day to day financial business obligations and for providing detailed financials to help in preparations for monthly reports, yearly budgeting and projections and state metric and grant reporting. My facilities management duties, include; preparation and execution of leases for tenants, all repairs and coordination of maintenance to three facilities, as well as overseeing any construction and building projects. MTEC SmartZone is the leader in entrepreneurism and high-tech business acceleration in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. We collaboratively work with the cities of Houghton and Hancock and Michigan Technological University and Finlandia University to provide facilities and resources to help business flourish. Responsibilities included assisting 7 project managers and efficiently keeping their projects running smoothly. Duties included setting up and closing out construction projects, all compliance issues, composing various letters and spreadsheets, directing telephone calls to correct project managers and working closely with project managers, accounting staff, job superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors.

Duties also included web and newspaper searches, copying, scanning, filing, faxing, binding, mail merges, mass email notifications, inventory, bank runs, mail runs, and general errands. Also designed and/or compiled handbooks, letters, and gift certificates for all office departments.
