  The Institute for Nutrition Research develops and implements nutritional approaches to improve health. We conduct research to understand how and why plant food rich diets protect against cardiovascular disease. We use this knowledge as well as current knowledge to help people of all ages. The aim is to improve people’s diet by increasing their fruit and vegetable intake as well as the intake of other whole plant foods. The new knowledge we generate will support targeted dietary approaches which will improve cardiovascular disease as well as well as other chronic diseases and health generally across the lifespan.

  The UWA Public Policy Institute (UWA PPI) is a bridge between academic research and government, public and business needs, delivering real-world policy impact at state, national and regional levels. UWA PPI helps to provide solutions to local and regional policy challenges, both current and future. Through collaboration with UWA academics and research users and practitioners we support a healthy and effective policy-ecosystem in Perth and WA. I was appointed to the position of Business Manager for UWA Public Policy Institute in July 2018 and was responsible for working with the Director to develop and implement the Institute's strategic goals and objectives, establishing and managing processes to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the Institute. My role entailed being a strategic liaison for the institute, including building networks with affiliated staff, key external groups and the broader community to develop new business opportunities. I oversaw the administrative and finance functions of the Institute, and focused on actively promoting and enhancing the Institutes brand and profile through marketing and event initiatives

  CSI UWA is a national collaboration with The University of Western Australia, UNSW Australia and Swinburne University of Technology. Together the three universities form the Centre for Social Impact. The Centre for Social Impact has a vision for a better world where people have the opportunity to achieve their goals free of discrimination and social inequality, where complex social problems are addressed, communities are diverse and thriving, and where organisations across sectors work together to grow positive social impact. The Centre for Social Impact’s purpose is to catalyse positive social change. We aim to do this by engaging and working with people, communities and organisations to grow their capabilities through research, education, and leadership development. We create tools, solutions, and leaders that enable change. I was appointed to the position of Centre Manager in July 2014 to work with the Director to develop and implement the Centre’s strategy and operational management plans. I actively maintained existing research industry and public engagement relationships, and worked proactively to identify and develop new funding research and thought leadership partnerships on a local, national and international level. I oversaw the administrative and finance functions of the Centre, with a focus on actively promoting and enhancing the Centre’s brand and profile through marketing and event initiatives.

I was the General Manager for eleven years and was one of the first co-founders of Entrust Private Wealth Management. As this was initially a start- up operation I was actively involved in the implementation and running of the business operations, establishing the new business infrastructure, policies, processes and procedures while simultaneously focusing on new client attraction and retention. Once established, I was engaged in activities to drive business growth; developing and implementing the strategic and operational plan in collaboration with the management team,the implementation of marketing and PR activity, HR management and Infrastructure management.

I excelled in implementing fresh initiatives to attract and retain new clients, including creating a quarterly market report, running seminars, workshops and exceptional client events resulting in high level customer satisfaction and retention.
