Responsibilities and metrics: • Identify, qualify, cultivate, and steward individual donors and prospects (i.e., grateful patient families, local, national, and international philanthropists, community/business leaders, and family foundations), as well as curate six, seven, eight, and nine figure donor centric gift solicitations in support of our hospital’s strategic initiatives a specific focus on advancing care and innovation initiatives within the Center for Neuroscience and Behavioral Medicine. • To date during tenure, solicited $160.6M in philanthropic investments in support of Children’s National Hospital’s strategic initiatives (a total of 100 proposals). As of 9/12/2023, secured gifts/commitments totaling $122,224,555; proposals totaling $5,565,000 remain under consideration. • In partnership with the Director of the Brain Tumor Institute, developed visioning messaging and case for support, implemented strategy, and secured multi-year gift commitment of $96,000,000 to rapidly expand care and research innovations for children with rare brain cancer. • Manage a portfolio of and develop overall strategies for 100+ major and principal donors/prospects, as well as conducts 105+ substantive actions (i.e., face-to-face visit, zoom call, etc.) annually. As of 9/12/2023, completed a total 814 substantive actions. • Manage Associate Director of Development and Development Coordinator by facilitating bi-monthly metrics conversations and providing ongoing, comprehensive mentoring and coaching. • Strategically partner with the Center for Neuroscience and Behavioral Medicine Executive Vice President, Division Chefs (13), and Program Directors (16) to identify funding priorities and transformational giving opportunities, develop/implement personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies, craft donor-centric funding proposals/solicitations, and champion our hospital’s mission of advancing care, education, research, and advocacy for children and young people.
