  While at Banda Designs LLC, I have worked alongside the Owner/Senior Interior Designer with the entire aspect of the business. I have taken on a multitude of responsibilities and have grown to learn a large amount of knowledge while working here. I have taken on tasks such as business management, project management, business marketing, vendor acquisitions, and both retail and commercial Interior Design. I have assisted in building clientele and have worked closely with clients to create a dream vision for their space. As for the Interior Design aspect, I specify design selections, furnishings, and building materials for each project (i.e. cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, lighting, hardware, appliances, etc.). I generate detailed elevations, perspectives, as-builts, floor plans, electrical plans, and furniture plans to convey designs using AutoCAD, Sketch-up, or hand sketches. As for the project and business management aspect, I organize schedules, manage social media accounts, manage spec books, and FF&E’s for builders and contractors. I create and keep vendor accounts and client binders organized, proposals, invoices, POs, retainers, receive and apply payments. I implement new organization methods to the business structure (ie: Ivy, and Google Drive) and complete all purchasing, tracking, damages and ensure items are received and inspected for installation. Banda Designs has taught me the aspects of managing and operating an interior design business while it has also allowed me to grow as an Interior Designer in a bigger way due to the wider range of experience it has introduced me to.   While at Restoration Hardware I met with clients on a daily basis and created designs for both walk-in clients who were focused on smaller-scale projects as well as scheduled clients looking for larger complex designs. Every client was unique in what they were searching for and therefore I designed accordingly. For those looking for larger-scale designs, I would gather the client’s information and schedule a series of appointments. Usually, these started with an initial consultation to gain an understanding of the overall project vision. Afterward, I would follow up with the client and present them with a mood board to gauge the direction of the overall aesthetic and later host a meeting to present the revised mood board and overall design. Lastly, a final appointment would be scheduled to show the client any revisions requested for an approved final decision. After the project was finalized, I would coordinate an installation appointment and attend the installation upon the arrival of the items to inspect and ensure the quality of each piece before placements began.
