  I enter charges into the system for insurance carriers such as Medicare, Humana, Aetna, and Medicaid. When these carriers pay us I am responsible for accurately posting the payments per the explanation of benefits as well as correct denied claims. In addition to these daily duties, I work a receivables aged report in effort to make sure no monies is lost and our practice is paid for the services rendered.Before working the above mentioned insurance carrier accounts, I focused on self-pay accounts. Here I reached out to patients in attempt to collect a balance, verified accounts for accuracy, and forwarded accounts to our 3rd party collection agency. In this role I used my superb customer service skills to communicate with patients, critical thinking skills while verifying accounts, and determined mindset to reach a monetary collection goal.
