Award Winning Drape98 Express gave me the opportunity to observe the custom drapery process while also becoming familiar with window treatments. I was able to be involved in two residential installations where I could personally see how to interact with the installers and clientele in the process. I created sample books with Drape98's stock linens and sheers for her to provide her designer clients. My organization skills were put to play when I filed project sheets and order forms that needed to be filed correctly and efficiently. Amy Hunley, the owner of Drape98 Express, embraced the fact that I wanted to learn from her as well as help in any way I could!

This hospitality firm gave me a hands on experience in interior design and also provided the opportunity to meet clients and attend the client presentation, meet and communicate with sales reps from local showrooms and help select furniture and finishes for a project. In addition, I did job book filing, contacted sales reps via email and phone for pricing and stock on items, ran errands to ADAC, Walker Zanger and other interior showrooms and experience the professional interior design office environment.
