MTSS Coordinator
-
Jul 2022 - Present
In this role, I have been working extensively to help launch the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Gardiner Regional Middle School. In addition to leading the MTSS team meetings, I have worked with data to drive decisions, created and presented school-wide professional development, aided in creating and launching a school-wide Universal Screener, done personal professional development through book studies, sought out other professional development opportunities around MTSS online and implemented a data tracking process for all tiers of support. I am extremely passionate about this work and cannot wait to continue working closely with the MTSS process. Show less

Learning Interventionist
-
Jul 2021 - Present
In my first year in this position, I was the tier 3 Math Interventionist for the building. This year I have worked as the Tier 3 ELA Interventionist. Through collaboration and data diving, we identify a percentage of students without IEPs, and for who tier 2 and 1 interventions have not been successful. I create individualized plans for instruction from the data and use progress monitoring to drive the learning process. I then work with Special Education, as necessary, to enter the referral process when needed. Show less

After retuning from our year in Florida, we started our family, and I found a job closer to home. I worked extensively on committees to initiate new programs and curriculums. It was here I really fell in love with collaboration, seeing hard work pay off and leadership. After retuning from our year in Florida, we started our family, and I found a job closer to home. After a longterm subbing position in the district, I taught both 2nd and 5th grade at Elm Street School. I worked in a co-teaching setting, where collaboration was key.
