  My post-graduation backpacking adventure around Europe landed me in the highlands of Scotland, and I loved it so much I stuck around! I became the Manager of Skye Backpackers, a small hostel on the Isle of Skye. I hired and coordinated a team of 4-6 staff members and we placed a strong focus on customer experience. I oversaw all aspects of running the hostel, including guest check-in, management of booking engines/website, sales of local tours and excursions, and also worked with local businesses and tour companies to form reciprocal partnerships based on referrals and financial kickbacks.
