    • Field Guide
      • Mar 2018 - Oct 2018

As a field guide at bammaru plains I worked closely with the majority of guests who visited the remote Bush lodge. I was responsible for providing an exceptional experience for our guests during their whole stay by taking guests on 4x4 drives, Bush walks, airboat tours, river cruises and all day trips into Kakadu national park while hosting dinner and being present in the lodge. Tours where unscripted giving us the ability to focused on the flora and fauna which was present on each trip. Wild bush luxury is a supporter of the Australian Wildlife Conservancy which gave me the opportunity to focus my interpretations on environmental health and conservation. During this position I quickly learnt to convey scientific information in an interesting and understandable way to people from all over the world. While off tour I would undertake maintenance tasks for the equipment (4x4 vehicles, quad bikes, airboats) and lodge. Such duties included site vegetation clearing, pool maintenance, solar panel cleaning, chain sawing and trail clearing, building repairs and cleaning. I took on part of the office and coordinator duties beyond the scope of my role, organising guest itineries and coordinating the team's daily duties.
