  I enlisted in the Wyoming Army National Guard in November, 2013. I was first enlisted as a Construction Engineer for one and a half years then transferred to the Infantry for the remainder to present. I am currently a Cadet (Officer Candidate) in the Infantry. During this time I completed several qualification courses including achieving the Distinguished Leader Award in the Army Basic Leader Course, rating Commandant's List (top 10%) in the Infantry Advanced Leader Course. I was selected as my battalion's 2015 Soldier of the Year, awarded one Army Commendation Medal and two Army Achievement Medals, and served one foreign partnership rotation totaling eight weeks of combined domestic and international training with the armed forces of Tunisia. • State Yellow Ribbon Program Coordinator

  As the State Yellow Ribbon Program Coordinator I worked independently to plan, arrange, and complete benefits and informational events for units of soldiers preparing to mobilize overseas. I was responsible for interpreting state and federal regulations, managing program funds, interacting and coordinating with vendors, planning cooperatively with mobilizing unit leaders, and executing the event for the unit.   As a Recruiting and Retention Specialist I was responsible for representing and promoting the Wyoming Army National Guard in Goshen and Platte Counties, Wyoming. I created and managed local recruiting social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, networked with local schools and organizations, designed and generated diverse print promotional products, planned and carried out promotional events, and identified and processed recruits.   As the State Marketing Specialist for the Wyoming Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion, I worked as the junior member of a two person department to manage all statewide marketing efforts. I was responsible for designing and generating custom ordered print promotional products, merchandise, event opportunities, and support contracts for 16 regional recruiters. I worked cooperatively with the State Public Affairs Office to manage and utilize statewide marketing efforts on organizational social media accounts and counseled recruiters on their effective use of their respective regional accounts.
