Funder: GEF- Government of India-UNDP NATCOM projectRole: Research Associate• Worked on patterns of agricultural productivity and yield gaps in India.• Analysed the relationship between soil moisture and productivity patterns.• Contributed to India’s 3rd Biennial Update Report (BUR) along with the Climate Change team of MRRF Chennai.• In the run-up to COP26 in Glasgow, followed discussions in the UNFCCC and wrote policy briefs as part of the project “Equity and CBDR and RC in the context of 2-degree warming - Implications for India”.Project Name: Fairtrade Cotton resilience. (Analysis of GHG emissions from Fairtrade organic cotton farms and existing climate challenges in the cultivation of organic cotton )Funder: Fairtrade UKRole: Research Associate• Designed and conducted data collection from field sites in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat, and Tamil Nadu. Data included biophysical data, energy use data, and socio-economic data collected using personal interviews and FGDs.• Analysed the data using the “Cool Farm Tool” to calculate and compare GHG emissions from organic cotton and non-organic cotton farms.• Authored the final report with other co-authors based on the analysis and provided adaptation recommendations for the Fairtrade cotton farmers of the study region. Project Name: Google AI for Social Good.
