Cobseo - The Confederation of Service Charities provides a single point of contact for interaction with Government, including local government and the Devolved Administrations; with the Royal Household; with the Private Sector; and, of course, with other members of the Armed Forces Community. This allows Cobseo Members to interact with all interested parties and especially to cooperate and collaborate with others in order to provide the best possible level of support to beneficiaries. The stated objectives of Cobseo are to represent, promote, and further the interests of the Armed Forces Community by: - Exchanging and coordinating information internally. - Identifying issues of common concern and coordinating any necessary and appropriate action. - Acting as a point of contact for external agencies to the Members of Cobseo. - Representing and supporting the needs and opinions of its Member organisations, individually and collectively at central and local government levels and with other national and international agencies. The Women's Institute (WI) was formed in 1915 to revitalise rural communities and encourage women to become more involved in producing food during the First World War. Since then the organisation's aims have broadened and the WI is now the largest voluntary women's organisation in the UK. The WI celebrated its centenary in 2015 and currently has almost 220,000 members in approximately 6,300 WIs. The WI plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities. The WI is based on the ideals of fellowship, truth, tolerance and justice. The organisation is non-sectarian and non-party political. WIs are charitable and everything they do must be consistent with that special legal status. Show less

Battersea is here for every dog and cat, and has been since 1860. Over more than 150 years, we've gone from one home in London to three rescuing and rehoming centres across the country and have cared for over three million vulnerable animals. We believe that every dog and cat deserves the best. That’s why we help every dog or cat in need — whether it’s newly-born or getting on, cute or cute in its own way. The Countryside Alliance is the campaigning organisation that promotes the rural way of life in Parliament, in the media and on the ground. The Countryside Alliance is known for its work on wildlife and management, but its agenda is far broader than that incorporating food & farming, local businesses and services and the injustices of poor mobile phone signal and broadband in the countryside.
