My role includes planning and booking many corporate events, big and small ranging from everyday meetings to huge gala dinners within the UK and overseas. This included a complex set of client demands which required all of my flexibility to meet them. I have gained a great deal of experience in customer and supplier relationships, processing large payments, dealing with some huge names within the UK economy and making sure that my attention to detail was immaculate at all times. This job has refined my organisational skills and my ability to multitask to an outstanding degree. Prior to this, I had worked in restaurant management for several years in which I ran several teams and was responsible for running multiple establishments. As well as restaurants, I have also worked in coffee shops, hotels and bars in which I have taken on customer facing roles.

      • Sep 2018 - Present

During my time at York St.John University I studied for a BA Honours in Fine Art, particularly focussing upon sculpture. Since graduating in 2016, I have focussed on my career and put the creative field to one side for a short while. In 2018, I returned to ceramics in my spare time, exhibiting works at craft fairs and accepting commissions. I am currently working on creating all of the mugs / plates / cake stands / etc for a new coffee shop due to open in York shortly. By rediscovering my love for pottery as well as other art processes, such as painting and photography, I have found myself not only developing my skills, but also learning how to turn my hobbies into a business. This has included; dealing with client’s and tailoring to the needs of those who commission my work, creating social media accounts and keeping these up to date, as well as designing the packaging and branding.
