  I was working in a textile studio helping with tasks around the studio and hand painting designs. I designed a variety of motifs of different styles depending on what I was given to work from by following a range of trends for mainly dress wear. I painted a vast amount of florals from decretive to exotic flora and fauna to a combination of abstract painterly florals and animal print using mainly gouache and inks. This internship gave me a great insight into the industry and improved my time keeping skills as well as painting to a higher standard through adapting to the different styles given. I really enjoyed designing my own designs and putting a collection together for the designers to then make into a repeat on photoshop. It gave me a real thrill seeing my work being used and made into fabric samples.
