Pearson May is a six-partner firm of Chartered Accountants in the South West of England, with three offices in Bath, Chippenham and Trowbridge.My initial experience within accountancy was in the preparation of accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders, as well as completing corporation Tax Returns. These clients come from a huge number of different sectors in the business community. I continue to maintain these skills that I developed for over 2 years, as I move to broaden my knowledge base into other areas.I now specialise in personal tax and deal with individuals with income from property; portfolios of investments; family trusts; estates; pensions; overseas income; residence and domicile issues. Within the department I deal with tax compliance which includes the preparation of annual Self-Assessment Tax Returns, calculation of capital gains tax and assisting with the firm’s probate work.In addition, I assist with the preparation of VAT Returns and have completed company secretarial work, such as maintaining company Statutory Registers and filing company’s Confirmation Statements.From my work at Pearson May, I have developed software knowledge and am proficient at the use of software such as Sage, Xero and Quickbooks.I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Business and Finance Professional (BFP) whilst at Pearson May.
