My role as team leader was to set a good example of how customer service should be applied, whilst adhering to work policies and procedures. My main responsibilities were to ensure staff are well trained and confident serving customers and using CEX systems, daily running of the store and keeping the shop at a high standard to boost sales. Part of my role is to test items for resale and to keep track of KPI’s and targets, staff reports and money handling

During my time at CEX as a sales assistant, I climbed my way to team leader within 3 weeks of working there. It was very apparent I enjoyed my job and I took great pride in my role. I gained management skills working alongside a small team. My duties included cashing up safe and tills, closing an opening of store, motivating staff to work to their best abilities, merchandising, store reporting to area manager and supporting manager help run the store. There were moments of high pressure due to COVID restrictions. We worked with two tills on at a time, which did cause some queuing. I managed this by guiding customers to the tills and preparing their purchases. Show less

Home bargains was a very fast paced job, mostly working mornings which start at 6am. I mainly worked the deliveries. We were timed for working cages, this also included merchandising for new stock, housekeeping, stock rotation, point of sales and pricing. • Travel Agent
      • May 2019 - Jun 2020

This was a very fast paced job with very complex systems to work from, I overcame these complexities very quickly by taking down notes and asking questions. In the time I was at Barrhead Travel, I built up my own regular client base and they would make appointments to see me specifically. In January I was made wedding coordinator in the branch, this was a big achievement for me and made me feel like an asset to the company. GDPR was important as we dealt with sensitive information, I tailored holidays or weddings according to the customer's needs or requirements. Show less

SKY it has allowed me to hone my people skills in a different environment, an environment I had not previously worked in. This came with challenges, one of which was speaking over the phone rather than a customer faced role. I used my knowledge gained from previous jobs and by applying my personality into my calls I make it more personalized for each and every customer listening to the customer and tailoring solutions to a variety of challenges. My duties were to successfully move customers broadband to their new house. Show less

Working at Trust allowed me to expand my skills in communication and to work in a very person-centered way. I have written out and updated personal care plans and basic filling, using excel and Microsoft to submit data and personal information. I was a key a worker to three tenants which I met on a monthly basis to update any personal information or care requirements. At Trust I assisted tenants to live as independently as possible, this included assisting with personal care, medication and general housekeeping. Show less
