  - Whilst working at this restaurant I have been required to undertake a number of roles including, waitressing (running food, taking orders etc.), cash handling, hosting afternoon tea events for large parties, ordering stock for the restaurant and maintaining the correct hygiene standards of the restaurant.- I have been working alongside a small team who all work to the same aim of achieving the best customer service possible and giving customers a reason to return to the restaurant. This means learning to connect and communicate well with the customers and create loyal bonds that draw the back as well as adjusting the way in which I communicate depending on the customer as we have a wide variety of customers that enter the restaurant each day. - During my time at the restaurant I have quickly improved personal skills such as: multitasking skills within the restaurant to have the ability to clear tables, take orders and encourage customers to buy more goods, numeracy skills to quickly provide the correct change to customers and time management as I am excellent at being punctual and ensuring tasks are completed on time or earlier.

  - Within this job role I took on very similar responsibilities to that of my current role at The Garden Room Café. However, due to this hotel being a Best Western I was required to serve at a Silver Service standard as well as handle the room service procedures. This required much greater preparation and different skills that required much more attention to detail. - As a Team Leader I was required to delegate tasks accordingly to the specific skill sets of my colleagues as well as ensuring all tasks had been completed in preparation for the events. Some events were for occupants of over 400 meaning for even 1 member of waiting staff there was around 50 customers meaning customer service had to be faultless.

  - During this time, I was an acting ambassador for the university as it held its annual open days. This role required me to show potential students around campus as well as input visitor data into the open day computer system to ensure they were registered for all subject talks and accommodation briefings. This required a great amount of communication with other ambassadors to ensure the event ran as expected and visitors could confidently confide in us if they needed advice. - During this time, I was an acting ambassador for the university as it held its annual open days.   - This work placement was of interest to me as dancing has been a major part of my life for 10 years. I was incredibly passionate about improving the children’s abilities as dancers as well as ensuring all students were safe.
