My current role as a reception teacher in a 2 form entry school in the North of Doncaster, involves taking responsibility for the day to day management of planning, teaching and learning within the early year’s team. My role involves working in accordance with the schools policies, while reflecting on best practice and enhancing and developing co-teacher methods. At the Summer camp, I worked in a team to develop and deliver the English Curriculum taught to Italian speaking children. Although I do not speak Italian, it was part of the companies ethos that the children would be totally immersed in the English language. The role required adaptability to cultural norms whilst simultaneously developing my understanding of the Italian language and they way they learned.
