During my time on the committee of the Fashion Society as Social Secretary and then President I worked on the creation of an annual charity fashion show that caught media attention and resulted in a collaboration project with department store Debenhams. This experience involved negotiating with an extensive variety of businesses in order to receive donations for the show. From high street stores, online boutiques, high end brands, and local businesses we received donations of clothing, make up, set decorations, goody bag products and raffle prizes. My role in the shows focused on interacting with these companies and negotiating these donations. My role as president of the society required organisation and dedication in order to lead a fantastic team of individuals. Show less
