      THE OLIVAINT CONFERENCES “Teaching governance today, growing leaders for tomorrow” The Royal Association Olivaint Conference of Belgium provides extra-curricular education on governance issues, i.e., on the institutions, rules, processes and practices having an influence on the exercise of power at local, national or international level. Its overall objective is to prepare young adults for the exercise of professional responsibilities at the highest level while keeping a genuine concern for the public policy implications thereof. STUDENT MEMBER (2014 - 2015) I learned how to improve my public speaking and to convince an audience of my opinion on a designated topic. I attended the study session of 3 weeks in South Korea during the Summer where we met different important actors and participated to different conferences about the governance of the country. TREASURER (2015-2016) I was on the board of the Olivaint Conferences as treasurer. I was in charge of making sure that our newspaper was printed and that we had the necessary funds for our team building activities etc. Show less

The working environment was a great school, in the one hand because both French and Dutch are constantly used and in the other because I got to understand a field that I was studying at University.
