      Elucidating the crystal structures and phase changes of several functional perovskite materials using both powder X-Ray and neutron diffraction methods, with a specific interest in ferroelectric and multiferroic materials. Structural characterisation was aided by Rietveld refinement methods, symmetry mode analysis and dielectric measurements. In addition to my research, I supervised numerous undergraduate project students and summer research students of both secondary school age and university level and proof-read papers, theses and dissertations for other members in the group.
