• Act as an ambassador towards the health, safety and wellbeing of employees. • Manage recruitment process by liaising with the recruiting Manager, recruitment agencies and applicants through the interview process• To process and ensure accuracy of all offer letters, contracts of employment, new starter packs• Ensure legal requirements are met in terms of eligibility to work in the UK and to liaise with the Home Office to ensure compliance• To perform background checks on new employees• Set up and maintain personnel files in line with best practice methods on mandatory and best practice records to be kept• To liaise with Team Managers to ensure that end of probation meetings are held and the letters are sent to employees confirming the outcome• Respond to reference and mortgage requests where necessary by complying with the Data Protection Act• To conduct exit interviews with all leavers• Monitor attendance across the business and report on absence levels and report these where applicable• To support the formulisation and writing of new policies and procedures• To keep abreast of Legal requirements and best practice principles and to advise the business accordingly• To keep abreast of current business issues and business priorities through close working relationships with the management team• To work proactively with line management in the resolution of employee relations issues to prevent escalation and an early resolution• Provide support to employees on HR issues; as and when required• Management/Administration of the Rewards & Recognition program• Management of NVQ training; includes sign up process and managing of appointments• Assist with the organisation and running of staff social events• Assist with the management of all charity projects including, sponsorship, payroll giving, and monthly donations
