    • Assistant Manager
      • Jun 2018 - Nov 2018

I worked as Assistant Manager for The Stag and Hounds Pub in Binfield. This progression brought many new learning opportunities which I tackled by being very proactive and keen to work. Not only was I responsible for running shifts as the sole manager on duty, I was also relied upon by the FOH team for support and information regarding the job at hand. Additionally I was responsible for many administrative tasks such as staff training, due diligence, health and safety, payroll, managing and dealing with large bookings, as well as stock ordering, delivery management and organising shifts. During my time as assistant manager, I was trained as a fire warden and also did asbestos training. Show less

    • Team Supervisor
      • Aug 2017 - Jun 2018

The step up from FOH member to Team Supervisor involved new responsibility that allowed my skill set to expand even further in the hospitality industry. I was responsible for overseeing the running of the restaurant, helping to train new members of staff and consistently working to a high standard to set a good example to younger members of staff. • Front of House
      • Dec 2015 - Aug 2017

I worked as a seasonal Front of House member for MLC Pubs at two of their well-established gastro pubs: The Walter Arms in Sindlesham and The Stag and Hounds in Binfield. I utilised my previous background in hospitality to work to the best of my ability within all aspects of the front of house. This involved being responsible for my own section, running the main bar, and hosting which involved greeting all guests. Occasionally I also helped the back of house team in the kitchen by working as a kitchen porter. This strengthened already existent awareness for the importance of teamwork as everyone needed to work hard in order to have a productive and efficient service. Show less

    • Mad Scientist
      • Jan 2018 - Jul 2018

Alongside the third year of my studies at Bournemouth University, I was a Mad Scientist for Mad Science in the Wessex area. This involved presenting and teaching various different scientific concepts to Key Stage 1 and 2 using fun, innovative programmes. As an instructor, it was my job to captivate the children's attention and teach science in a fun way at after-school clubs, in-school workshops and birthday parties. I was solely responsible or the children during the session so I had to manage any problems the children had, from friendship disagreements to grazed knees on the play ground. It was a very rewarding experience that gave me a lot of responsibility and tested my time management skills as I had to make sure we covered all the topics within the hour lesson. I worked 10 hours a week, including two hours sessions at two primary schools and helping out in the office phoning schools and booking new after school clubs. Topics I have taught include: - Chemistry: States of Matter, Making Slime, Chemical Reactions, Intermoleculer interactions - Geography: The Rock Cycle, The Water Cycle, Volcanoes and Earthquakes - Biology: The Five Senses - Physics: Forces e.g. Gravity, Air resistance, Acceleration etc. Show less

      • Oct 2015 - May 2016

Previously worked for a recruitment agency who distributed front of house staff to events across the South. The job worked varied at each event, typically the role would be to Waitress, Bar Tend or work as a Kitchen Porter. The venues that required staff ranged from equestrian races to motor races, as well as private functions. This meant always working to a very high standard and dressing appropriately. Prioritising tasks was key as I would frequently work within a box by myself, serving a very small number of customers with high demands. Show less
