Feb 2021 - Feb 2021
In February 2021 I took part in a week long work experience course at Spotify, to learn how their company handles large scale Sales and Marketing pitches. As part of this my peers and I created a pitch to Netflix for a Spotify advert of the new film "Eurovision". Feb 2021 - Feb 2021
• On the 25th of February 2021 I was interviewed on Sky News. The interview consisted of my giving my opinions on how Matt Hancock and Boris Johnson’s Covid-19 response had affected students sitting their A Levels that year. In order to be successful with the interview I had to be critical but remain polite. I enjoyed this experience a lot and I believe it improved my public speaking skills • On the 25th of February 2021 I was interviewed on Sky News. Headstart Course
-
Aug 2020 - Aug 2020
Before leaving 6th form in 2020 I was strongly advised by my physics teacher to take part in an EDT Headstart Course, to not only give me a better shot at getting into top universities, but also to make sure an engineering degree was the correct choice for me. It was an excellent suggestion. Throughout the course I was given engineering tasks by industry leading companies. The course is supported by Rolls Royce, General Electric, Glaxo Smith Kline and (at the time) Balfour Beatty. The two most memorable tasks from the course were surprisingly more civil engineering based. The first was to design a water drainage system for a small town in the Himalayas, the second: to design a eco friendly and modular school unit. Show less
