Worked on Environmental Control Systems within the Subsystems group of the F/A-18 Fleet Support Team. I published fleet bulletins, briefed engineering and program leadership on technical issues, and performed engineering investigations into failed parts. I also worked heavily with the Cabin Pressurization Test Lab, the only lab in the world to simulate the F/A-18 cockpit pressurization system on the ground. I developed and ran tests, and wrote MATLAB code to analyze results. Worked on Environmental Control Systems within the Subsystems group of the F/A-18 Fleet Support Team. Summer Homebuilding Intern

Jun 2013 - Aug 2016
I spent my college summers working in the non-profit sector with Project Mexico, leading groups of volunteers from the US and Canada in week-long construction projects of small houses for families in the area in and surrounding Rosarito, Baja California. On worksites, I directed labor, managed the construction process, and taught construction techniques. I’ve led and worked with volunteer groups from all over the US and Canada and led builds for 18 houses over my time there. Senior Design Project
-
Jan 2016 - May 2016
Sun Buckets is an on-campus start-up working to solve the global cooking problem: the continued use of solid fuels for cooking fires by 3 billion people around the world, contributing to air pollution and respiratory illness and death. Sun Buckets has developed a solar energy storage vessel with integrated cooking surface using a molten-salt energy storage method, to be charged in a reflective parabolic dish. I worked with my team to conceptualize, design, and build a prototype of an automatically sun-tracking stand for the reflective dish and vessel.
