  • Image Classification & Object Detection (convolutional neural networks) - Instead of labelling a large custom dataset, I created a program that generated synthetic data, whereby each object was synthesised, along with its positional data. This two-stroke methodology grows the dataset in size, but also yields accurate labels for a CNN to learn from. This method results in an end-to-end process that takes substantially less time. • Categorising Customer Behaviour - Using data visualisation techniques, I created buying-profiles, that depicted the long-term behaviour of customers. To quantise these behaviours, 2nd degree polynomials were fitted to the buying-profiles, which were subsequently grouped. I gained comparable insight into our customer behaviours, to that of one or more sales teams. • Data Mining & Web Automation - If a dataset is needed but hasn't existed, I have written efficient scripts to mine said data. Sources have included sales websites, PDF documents, review forums, governmental census data, and digital imagery. Some of my custom datasets are also transferrable to other parts of the company, outside of data science. Show less
