  At OLX Brazil, following the acquisition of Anapro, I took on the role of Software Engineer, leveraging my deep knowledge of the business to support the Product Manager in decision-making processes. I actively participated in meetings, providing valuable insights to tasks and prioritizing them using the RICE framework to align with the company's objectives. My primary focus at OLX Brazil involved tackling complex tasks, such as parallelizing jobs (heavy asynchronous executions) across multiple machines to accommodate the company's rapid growth following the acquisition. This undertaking required me to modify a critical aspect of the business - the document generation for sales. I successfully rewrote the document generation calls to utilize Azure Message Queue, effectively resolving the issue and ensuring transparency for all developers. For specific jobs that needed to be executed on a designated virtual machine due to IP-related business rules with integrated financial institutions, I implemented a straightforward solution that any developer could use without knowing the implementation details. In addition to working on complex tasks, I consistently supported my fellow programmers by addressing their questions about the business or project-related techniques. I made it a priority to document my knowledge on the company's Atlassian Confluence to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. As a dedicated team leader, I focused on the professional growth of Junior Engineers by devising development plans for them.   At Anapro, I was one of the founders and developed a software from scratch to manage real estate sales in order to address the challenges faced by my business partner (my father, Helder) in property development companies. My approach involved a deep understanding of user challenges and creating effective solutions within the software. The success of the software led to us being sought out by new clients, and as new demands arose, I understood, coded, and delivered solutions in production. With growth, I searched the market for developers that fit the required profile, recruited, hired, and onboarded them. After a few years, we reached 80 employees and were acquired by OLX Brazil. I used various technologies in the software, such as C#, Asp.net MVC, Asp.net Webforms, Asp.net webapi, Angular, Html/css/javascript, Power BI, Redis for caching, Azure (SQL Azure, Message Queue, App Services, Virtual Machines, Azure Pipeline), Mailgun for reading emails, Sendgrid for sending emails with dedicated IP, and Git for hosting code. The architecture included 4 app services, 2 virtual machines for processing heavy jobs, and services for login, sales management (GV), lead management (GL), and messaging (SMS, email reading and sending). The VS solution covered various layers, such as Business, Agent Service, DTO, Value Object, Data Access Layer, Unit tests, and Athens, a project for running E2E tests with selenium-driver. If I were to do it differently, I would split sales and lead management into smaller services, use an Integration as a Service (MuleSoft, for example) to build integrations, and adopt Clean Architecture with more abstractions in the project. Additionally, I would increase the number of unit tests and not log records in SQL Azure. This experience showcases my strong sense of ownership, ability to build software from scratch, and dedication to understanding and addressing the challenges faced by system users. Show less
